Original San Francisco visionaries The Tubes, who have endured for nearly 40 years with their unique brand of theatre–rock, will perform two, rare New England shows at the Bull Run Restaurant in Shirley, MA. on May 29 and the Showcase Live in Foxboro, MA on May 30.
Notorious for their outrageous live performances and stellar musicianship, The Tubes are best known for their top 40 hits “She’s A Beauty” and “Talk To Ya Later” and their 70’s punk anthem “White Punks On Dope,” however, this band’s performance goes far beyond a couple of radio hits.
Featuring original members in frontman Fee Waybill, guitarist Roger Steen, drummer Prairie Prince and bassist Rick Anderson, The Tubes combine impeccable musicianship, sharp satire, several Fee character and costume changes and some downright outrageousness that produces a live show not of songs, but that of rock–and–roll vignettes unlike any other.
